Dean: Johnny Cash has always been there, somewhere in the background of my life. But it wasn't till the first American Recordings album with Rick Ruben that I really sat up and took notice. I wanted to make this album in something of the same spirit, stripped back, very few takes, and with a little Celtabilly feel.
