While on the road lots of fans have asked about a Dean Owens & The Sinners album - a selection of the songs played by Dean and his tight 3-piece band The Sinners. Thanks to Bert Pijpers at Continental Record Services - this is it!
17 tracks from Dean and the band’s current repertoire, recorded “as live” at Slate Room Studios, Pencaitland. No overdubs, no multi-tracking, no session players. Our Favourite Sins is essentially a “best of” Dean’s songs since 2022 (including favourites from Sinners’ Shrine, El Tiradito, Pictures and Spirit Ridge, as well as some classic Owens songs from further back. And 1 BRAND NEW song) thro a Sinners band lens.
The Sinners - Craig Ross (guitars, BVs), Adam McMillan (double bass, BVs), and Pip Cardwell (trumpet) - have honed their sound over 3 years of playing live and touring together, bringing their own very special interpretations, chemistry and playing talents to this record.
2027 will see them release a full studio album (recorded in Italy) but Our Favourite Sins represents a magical snapshot of a great band, playing great music together.
