Dean Owens – Southern Wind
The award winning title track from Southern Wind album. The video is epic!
Filmed (by Waltzer Films) in and around Leith, including Scotland’s oldest boxing club, Leith Victoria AAC Boxing Club. It’s dark, moody and powerfully evocative. Inspired by Trainspotting, Peaky Blinders and The The’s The Infected, it includes a cameo by actor Jamie Sives (from Game of Thrones (Jory Cassel), Doctor Who, Clash of the Titans, Outlaw King (William Wallace) and Guilt) as The Lochend Lion.
And there’s loads of Will Kimbrough‘s atmospheric, screaming, dirty guitar.

Dean Owens – New Mexico (Ft Joey Burns, John Convertino and musicians from Calexico)
The first single from Sinner’s Shrine, Dean’s highly acclaimed collaboration with musicians from Calexico

The Making Of Sinner’s Shrine
Up close and personal! Shots of the recording sessions in Tucson, and candid interviews with Dean, Joey Burns and John Convertino about making the album. Including sidesteps into men’s attire, unusual ways to hold a double bass, and views of some of Tucson’s awesome street art.

Dean Owens – La Lomita (Ft Joey Burns, John Convertino and musicians from Calexico)
Dean: “The song is inspired by the story of a small chapel, La Lomita, which sits right on the US/Mexican border. One of the oldest in the US and a place of refuge, it was in danger of being demolished to make way for Trump’s wall. Joey (Burns) took the lead on producing this. He knew exactly what I was aiming for and it was so much fun letting Sergio Mendoza loose with his box of tricks.”
